My filter cleans the air of big pollution particles in suspension. My filter can be glued to a window to clean the air that enters the house and like this preventing some disease. I chose this project because the pollution will be a very important problem for the health in the cities. The diseases that are produced by the pollution can be: respiratory infections, heart disease, stroke and lung cancer.
The filter will be needed to change every two months, and it uses graphene. Another use that I noticed while I was making it, was that if it can let pass the big particles, it wouldn't let pass the virus and bacteria. So it can be used in the rooms of the hospital with people that are very vulnerable. The cost of the filter is actually very high because we don't know how to produce graphene in high quantities.
