1 / 1

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the world? Are you interested in raising awareness for a particular cause, or want to make a change in the world or your community but are not sure where to begin? If so, this is the studio for you!

It is often necessary to communicate with more than just words in order to make an impact. In the Devices for Activism studio,  you'll social issues that are important and then develop prototypes of interactive objects or wearable devices that raise awareness about an issue that is meaningful to you.

We will explore how the design of two-dimensional graphics, symbolic objects, or the choreography of events provides the opportunity to raise awareness and instigate action in a way that transcends language.

In this studio, you will use the power of iterative design, electronics, and various hands-on prototyping techniques to create interactive devices for change. At the conclusion of the studio, you will present the story of your design process to an audience of your peers and community.
